PAYMENT OF HONG KONG NAVAL VOLUNTEER FORCE.

The Hong Kong Government pays all mobilised

officers and ratings of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer

Force except any who may be lent to "TAMAR" for purely

Naval Service. At present one officer and four ratings

working for Naval Control Service are paid by Admiralty.

Should the Governor at any time mobilise all

the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force and offer their

services to the Admiralty it is understood that the

Admiralty would take over the payment of the whole Force.

The Hong Kong Government pays for stores supplied

to "CORNFLOWER" which ship has been lent to them by the

Admiralty.

The Admiralty pays for the hire, upkeep, stores docking and crews (other than a small proportion of minesweeping, signal and telegraphist ratings which belong to the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force) of all the A/P

vessels operated by the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force.

Admiralty now pay for all personnel of the

Examination Service.

(Sgd.) A.M. Peters

Commodore.
